We live in a world where anything tangible, such as time, skills, money and comfort is more likely to be valued than something intangible, such as courage, wisdom, compassion and resilience. All people value time, skills, money and comfort; but, not all people value courage, wisdom, compassion and resilience. Another common value, love, is often misunderstood: love could be seen as gifts, loyalty, touch or praise; depending on the eyes of the beholder. Another value often over-emphasised is fun: we need fun in our lives, but, fun tends to stop you from experiencing depth. I appreciate all of the values mentioned; however, the way I express them look different from others. For example, for me, love is to provide someone with the opportunity to become all that they are capable of becoming.
