Almost 30% of New Zealand children live in unacceptable poor circumstances while many of the children have working parents but earning less than a living wage. I am running a business school and pay my staff a minimum of $20 per hour – I am a Living Wage Employer. Auckland is considered one of the most live-able cities in the world; we need to make this the case for all and specifically our children too. Much is done to address bullying in our schools; however, I want to introduce an alternative approach aimed at "reclaiming the bully". I am pioneering the Professional Entrepreneur Pathway aimed at helping disenfranchised youth to afford health, education and housing – a long term solution to reversing homelessness. I want to make Auckland the young entrepreneur capital of the world. I have learned first-hand, from the sovereignty movements, how to make policies and laws from the grassroots up; so I believe in family-led decision-making especially in remedying children and youth offending. I am an author / speaker / consultant / entrepreneur on combating family and structural violence. I enjoy inspiring young people to teach their parents!
