Rest assured that I am not claiming Māori sovereign rights; I am claiming my own sovereign right to play a key role in helping the people of this land take up sovereignty. I was given sovereignty on this earth by God at the time of my birth; sovereignty is my human right which I now reclaim. I am also a child of Africa and Aotearoa once belonged to it: my father was born in the heart of Africa (Congo) and I was born in the gateway to the rest of Africa (Namibia). Furthermore, I hold sole citizenship of New Zealand for 13 years; I arrived here, on 7 Jan 2000, as a Government Consultant of Public Service Reform specialising in Education, Culture, Youth & Sport, ready to conquer my promised land. Unfortunately, I allowed myself to be dis-empowered, like Māori through Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and a Judge ruled that one sentence in a contract between the father of my children and I, was not enforceable. Instead of living on social welfare for the rest of my life, I gave my life here; I worked in a night club for 6 months to have proof of income so I could get a loan to pay a lawyer to get one rental property, from my entire Kruger Estate, to live off for seven years while re-training and building my business. I since married a New Zealand born man; and is also grandmother to my youngest daughter’s New Zealand born son from a New Zealand born father, so here is where my body will turn to dust. I am a pioneer – I have not taken anyone’s job, even though I tried; I bring with me a new societal culture, a new independent workforce, a new economic structure and a new definition of justice.
